Feedback formed in August 2020. Three Year 9 boys, Darcy Potter (Lead Guitar), Elijah De Coppi (Bass Guitar), and Kason Knox (Drums) decided to form a 3 piece band to play a cover of AC/DC’s You Shook Me All Night Long at a school concert. After their performance, the boys found a love for performing and playing music together and decided to continue with the band. In early 2021, they recruited bassist Harry Young, and Elijah changed to the position of rhythm guitarist. Towards the end of April 2021, they recruited vocalist and pianist Kian Stapleton. and continued playing covers. They released their debut single News of the World in July and their debut EP Triptych in October. Towards the end of 2021, Kason announced that he would be leaving the band, meaning Feedback would have to recruit a new drummer. They recruited drummer Will Granger who lasted six months with the band before moving on to do other things. In June 2022, they recruited Zavier Noonan to play drums and cello for the band. After a number of line-up changes including the departure of Elijah and Kian and the addition of Jarvis Russell as rhythm guitarist, the band finally released their debut album on the 1st of January 2024.
